New trail at Canyon Falls.

Our friend Linda said that the new trail starting at Canyon Falls and heading east, had been worked on.  With Gromit being rather lame, we unfortunately had to leave her home. With warm temps and rain threatening, we headed for L'Anse to check this out with the radar looking better down there.
We parked at the Canyon Falls wayside rest, and headed east.
This is the US-41 bridge.

Hey! Here's the brand-new trail going in.
We followed the Sturgeon River.

After a while, the trail popped back onto the snowmobile trail.
We took this to a big bridge over the Sturgeon, and found the trail
continued along the river,  going north, at that point.
Then it came out on this road, and more flagging was found up the road
but the trail has not yet been cleared there.

This is where the trail will continue one day.
Quite a trail section in the works!

Kelpie's don't mind the rain, but the 2-leggeds don't seem to like it
and donned there rain jackets when the weather turned wet.

Rain jackets in summer help you get wet on the outside AND inside.

Heading back, again on the new trail.

The wood peckers have been busy here.

There were many nice views of the Sturgeon.

Maybe we can swim too!

Lots of work has been done here so far.

I hope we can come back soon.

We could have a picnic here!
We were on the snowmobile trail some too.

Oh ya, I did get to swim.
People have said that Kelpies like me, aren't water dogs.
Who knew!

Arly, you could take a dip too ya know!

Bye bye, Sturgeon.

On the way home, we stopped at the farm where I was born.
I was happy to see everyone again!
I showed them a few commands that I've learned.
