Hair cut and the Monk's trail!

On Sunday after church someone got their springtime hair cut!

Ya, they said I'm looking more like a sheep, than a trail mutt.

What can I say? I'm good at growing hair!

Buzzzz, buzzzzz, buzzzz off it comes.

Gone!

Next we again headed up the Keweennaw towards Eagle Harbor
and the Monk's trail.

We're so glad we got up to see their trail this spring.

Which way are we going?

This way, Gromit!

We stopped for tea.
This is a picnic table.
We checked out the raging torrent. We were glad not to fall in!
This made me very, very nervous.

The Arnold Mine ruins.

It was good going on skis and with all-paw drive.

At the Monk's trout pond.

After such a nice ski, we went to Fitzgerald's....but us
4-leggeds didn't get any yummy barbecue. No fair!

Ski romp at Ft Wilkins State park!

On Saturday, we jumped in the bread box and headed up the Keweenaw to romp around the ski trail at Ft Wilkins State park!
Ya Wally, this park was trail mutt approved, years ago!

Trails were still pretty good!

Puppies think they are fast.

We stop for a photo on the Fort's bridge.

On the way home, we stopped to see Esrey park

We wanted to see the shove ice.

This is the BIG lake I swim in all the time.
You'll need to check it out with me this summer.

We had such a nice run in the snow today.

Saturday's snow romp at Maasto.

On Saturday with temps rising, we headed for the trail mutt approved system, Maasto!
Oh ya Wally, this creek is the prettiest one around.

Now we head up Sidewinder hill.
Some people think Michigan is flat but this ascent has switch backs in it!

Hard to believe that some trails don't allow dogs.
Good thing is we are trail mutts!

Oh, oh, while on the Mud Lake loop, we bumped into
a friendly snowshoer!

Even old mutts think they're fast, some of the time.

Ya Wally, we just don't get out to run much.

After going 'round Mud Lake, we went 'round the Tower Loop.

Oh it's Rocky!  We love him!

Almost back and on the creek.

At the end of a 10 mile romp, even 6 month old puppies get tired.

To celebrate, we got to go to Erickson Feed!
I was so happy to see Christina, I peed on the floor.
Puppies are famous for that.

Thursday snow adventures at Maasto.

Oh ya, Sandy got home at 6 but with the clocks being changed (Wally wonders - what's a clock?) we had enough light, so we headed back over the bridge and ran at Maasto.  It was great!
Young mutts think they're fast.

Even the sun was out.

I think we're headed around Mud Lake!

Oh ya Gromit, isn't it a grand day to be out?

Colin and Arly groomed up the trails, just for us.

They even double-tracked more stretches, so the 2-leggeds could ski side-by-side.

I try to stay out of the way but that's hard when you're a puppy.

Oh good, me and Gromit can tussle as we hustle.

Ya, I haven't figured out yet that this is not the best place to cross.

OK! Let's run!

See how I kick up the snow! I'm so fast...

The sun made the tracks on the hill look artsy.

A phat biker was here earlier.

We like to stop at gaze at our favorite creek.

We hope we'll be back soon.
