1st ski of the year!

We actually got out the night before thanks giving. Nice way to start my holiday season.  I'm a snow dog ya know.
Someone was skiing in our yard!  I could have went with them!
Oh wait, it was my pack and I WAS along.

We checked out the conditions in Churning Rapids.

Hey!  I smell something here.

We had such a nice ski.  The snow was just deep enough.

Trail work continues, almost done!

The new trail behind the Old Apostolic church was finally done.

Now (Sunday 11/24) we're checking the bridges in the gorge.

Look at all the ice under the water!

Ya I love ice, winter and the snow.

The cribbing Mark and Scott added a few weeks ago.

This is the middle bridge which we'll replace next fall.

A little rock like this is no match for a trail mutt who jumps!

This is the new cribbing at the Dam Meadow.  It looks sweet!
Now (Monday 11/25) we're whacking weeds.
Will you guys ever get this stuff done!!

Scott is taking out a tree the groomers were hitting.

Ya, now it won't push them into the creek.
Usually I recommend going in the creek...but I suppose
the machines shouldn't!

New ski trail cutting party!

The Old Apostolic church expanded their parking lot this fall and doing that swallowed a portion of our ski trails.   So this week we got into cutting a new one and I of course had to supervise.   These photos where taken over two days.
You can see the yellow ribbons we are following.
Scott now thinks pole saw's are deluxe!

Paco came to help!  He's a trail mutt like me.

These guys pulled these branches off like mules!  I love them!

Now he's pulled a larger one down.

With a crew like this, we'll get something done!

Dave came to help. Oscar had to take a break.

OK guys, let's get the rock rolled off the trail.

With all these friendly trail people here,
we'll get it cleared in no time!!
