It's lefsa time!

We made lefsa last night because we are heading west on Tuesday morning to spend Thanksgiving with Arlyn's family in Chamberlain SD.  Family members had asked that we bring some!
Hey!  What is this funny potato stuff you are cooking??

Sandy is a master of this Norwegian treat.
Funny that she's 100% slavic!

What the refrigerator looked like all day.
Cooling the potato balls is the trick.

They had to be tested for quality.
Some people like them with butter and jelly. Huuuumm

The stack is growing.

How to roll them onto the grill.

Arly gives it a shot.

He later decides Sandy is better at rolling them,
so he kept up his grilling tradition.

The house is filled with a grilled potato smell.

Note how they bubble up.

Over 5 lbs was made. When can we have some?

In the mood

We got into the Holiday spirit this week so I helped them make the Norwegian treat, lefse.  Since we had an abundance of potatoes from our garden,  we used them.    Most of this batch was send to Arlyn's family.

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Hummmm good!
