Weekend adventures...I love a parade!

Did you know? Saturday was Heikenpaiva. The bear rolled over. Winter is half over. That's not good news, for a snow dog! But we celebrated anyway.

The Brr-Maids were on hand.

So was KNSC!

I can't read, but I'm pretty sure the Glide 'N Gorge means adventure.
Here I am!

Oh yeah, Lisa, you never get to scratch my ears much.

I helped everyone line up.

All the big Finnish mythical figures were there!

Nothing mythical here...

Looking for his reindeer?

The Finlandia Lion wasn't sure what to
make of the swan...neither did I.

Heikki Lunta has been ever-present this winter.

Many of my fans were out today!

I guess Pandas don't hibernate...
On Sunday, Arly had to get crackin' on the trails.
We found Swedetown Creek mushrooms in full bloom.

Arly "squeaked" his lips and made him look around.

Guess "whooooo" he saw out there? Hope we see YOU soon!

Drift Busting Grooming dept. Photos from the trail...

We had some wind here overnight, so much our old house shook. It was also so cold we didn't get out for a romp. So Arly had to get out on the trails this morning and he took a few photos of what he saw.
When will we all get out???
Ya the wind blew...  No tracks remained here.

I could jump up on this drift!

This is looking better.  Other than his tracks!

He had to stop and move sticks off.

Trees lean over from snow on them.

I love Swedetown creek.

He thinks he stopped 30 times to get them off today.

And the sun came out.

Tracks left over from yesterday!

Ya the sun made it pretty.

Up Side Winder hill he goes.

The wind dropped snow in here which stuck to the trees.

After the storm someone must have been hungry!

Snow might cover Lisa's trail sign over.

More drifts on the Mud Lake loop.  The roller and Rhino will knock these down and smooth them up.

In Churning Rapids the trail was blocked with many snowy trees.
He had to turn back here...

At least some people where skiing here!

The last one to remove for the day.

BC Tech adventures close to home!

On Sunday afternoon, we  missed out on Mark's gang's ski and pot luck since Arly was out too long grooming the trails. So instead, we had a BC adventure close to home, at Tech!
We started at the school forest.
This was near the high school ball fields.

It was deep!

Me and Arly peered over the high edge. I'm not going down here!

They thought it was kinda chilly...
I was plenty warm in my luxurious curly coat.

I found hunting to be pretty good.

Winter makes me wide-eyed.

See how much wind and snow we've had?

We checked out the foot bridge.
The ropes are usually waist-height on the 2-leggeds.

I led the way, as usual.

Maybe you can join us on our next BC ski adventure!
