On the way home adventures

On Wednesday, the pack loaded up the dog truck to head our way home. Of course we made a few adventure stops along the way. First up was the After Hours Trails near Brule WI. By this point we all needed a butt break.
We often stop here while crossing northern WI on US 2.
We've skied here before.

Many of their snow grooming implements were still outside.
Arlyn likes that!
Later, we stopped just north of Bessemer MI to hike the NCT along
the Black River.

Right off, we found some kids here!
We don't get to see them very often.

Oh ya, we don't get touched like this hardly ever.

Moving on, we stopped here to see the falls and high water.
This is Conglomerate Falls.

My pack says this gorge and its many falls,
might be the prettiest in the UP.

Next we head down stream on the North Country Trail.

An arrow!?!?  Never seen one of those before.

Potowatami Falls. There are 3 more after this one.

And more friendly people!

We love girls, ya you sure can rub us.  We'll pose with you.

This is unusually high water, thanks to spring run-off.

Gorge Falls. Should we kayak down it?

The NCT had many bridges along here.

Downstream, we pop out on road 513 and hike back up it.
Had we kept going, we would have seen Sandstone and Rainbow Falls.
Maybe next time!

We later got back onto the NCT and spied this.

Crossing yet another bridge atop a flowing creek.

Now back at the dog truck.  We had a wonderful little hike today.
