Courtney Lake BC romp

On Sunday, the pack was up for more of an adventure so we jumped in the dog truck and headed down to Courtney Lake for a BC romp!

1st thing we spied is the Snow Razor
the Forest Service had dumped off at the Circle of Life trailhead.

Let's get a going!

It's more snowy here than at home.

We stop to see who's fishing on 6 Mile Lake.

The floating dock is good.

It was skier groomed on the Circle of Life trail.

We stop for lunch!

Kelpies go into the woods to hunt.

Then we headed down the "switch back trail".
Ya, it needs clearing.

After that, it gets more rustic.

And it's not even that snowy yet!

This half mile stretch is quite rustic.

Breaking trail was slow going for the 2-leggeds.

Later, we romped around the equestrian loop,
and then down to the river overlook.

It was a fun run down to the West Branch of the Firesteel.

I checked out the paver-reinforced horse crossing.

Kelpies don't mind the water.

Maybe one day we could camp here, or at least have a picnic!

It was so pretty when the sun came out.

They skied 10 k today and I of course romped way more than that.

Moisture above the lake is visible close to home.
When the heck will it start coming down as snow??
