This is day one, of our long weekend of trail work and camping on Gardner RD.

Saturday morning, I see boxes being packed, maybe I'll stay close by. |

We will be camping! |

We stop at the Lake Mine spring to fill our water jugs. Best water around! This was used to water steam engines, and the RR grade is seen in the back. |

We made it! More experienced mutts like to roll in the pine needles right away while puppies are romping in the woods. |
![]() |
Then the biting and chasing starts. |
![]() |
Let's go check out the trail to the east. |
![]() |
Trees are still down, as they've been all summer. |
![]() |
Can't see the trail for the ferns. |
![]() |
We turned back here. It's in terrible shape and time to get to work! |
![]() |
Arly forgot his saw heads, so we just lopped and whacked today. |
![]() |
OK, this is looking better! |

Before... |
![]() |
...after. |
![]() |
Sight line restored. |
![]() |
Back at camp, we had a perfect evening for relaxing. |
![]() |
The sun is going down. |
![]() |
Then it's time for chasing again! |
![]() |
Round and round we go. |
![]() |
OK maybe it's time to start winding down. |
![]() |
Puppies go into the woods to chew sticks. |
![]() |
We strolled down to look at Tank Creek. |
![]() |
Our favorite camp supper cookin'. |

Such a beautiful evening. |
