Weekend adventures!

I had such an exciting weekend of music, runs, friendly people and water.  I had to divide all the fun up!  Starting with Music on the Menu each Friday at our library.
Best part about the music is the kids!
Why didn't Arlyn get a photo of the Jazz guitarist?

Sandy had to work on Saturday morning but as soon as she got off, we headed up the hill to Camelot (ak Calumet) to ride Swedetown trails!
Ya these are GREAT!

These are the best trails in all of Camelot!

I think we're about done.  When we going to eat?

When we got off the trails we were hungry, so we stopped at the trail mutt approved and very friendly Cafe Rosetta.   This favorite stop is also in Camelot.   Hummmmm its good!
My pal Dean was in town to do a race, so afterward he left his racing trike for Arly and Sandy to test out.  They said it was REALLY fun!

They had fun and all, but I think they are slow.

Visiting world touring cyclist, Music on the menu and trail hike!

It's been a busy, busy week for me!
My pack is on what's called "The warm shower list"
so each summer cyclists passing through the area
contact us and ask to stay the night.
You know how I love cyclists!
This week we hosted Louis Brockotter who's Dutch.
He started his touring in Chile and has been
riding his way up. Here is his blog and it's in Dutch
but has many, many great photos in it.  Like my blog!

Ya, cyclists are always good for some scratching.

Ya, I do need to socialize now and then.

On Friday we went down to the library to again see "music on the Menu".. You know I hardy ever get out!
Oh good - friendly kids!

Are you a Princes or Ballerina?

Ya, you can touch me too.

Performing today was the The Backroom Boys starring
John Munson, Bob Norden, Oren Tikkanen, Belinda Mattfolk
and Bob Hiltunen.  They are so good!

Good crowd today!
Music was moved inside today because of rain.

I love your mom too!

I got to see Chris and Esme.

Mark wanted to check out the middle bridge.

On Thursday, I was to the Keweenaw Veterinary Clinic to have my teeth cleaned but Arly, Mark, Samir, and Bella walked on the trails to check them out.  Samir wants to clear a section this summer.  I love anyone who helps do that!

With Samir's help, we might reopen some old trails.

Thanks to Mark's trusty GPS, they didn't get lost.

Friday night music in Hancock.

When Sandy got off, we rushed across the bridge to listen to a band playing at the water front park that evening.   Maybe they'll be some kids there?
Oh yeah! These boys like the music and dogs.
This was Derrell Syria Project performing tonight.

They had treats to share!

Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks?

Oh ya, I never do fun jumps like this for kids.

Yeah, I never get any of this.

I don't know you, but you can scratch me, and I'll lean on you.

I even got to visit the neighbors!

Music at the Library, Water and Lame.

This Friday, my favorite Music on the Menu was going on. Since it was raining we had it inside. Wally had to stay home because it's hard for him to be on his best behavior. They say, he's "in his teen age years". I was so glad to go!  We had lots of adventures this week.
Oh ya I love little girls!

Ya Dave you can touch me too.
You and the rest of the Thimbleberry Band were great!

In the evening, we got out for a romp by our favorite
Swedetown Creek.

We had a puppy play-date!
On Saturday while hiking at Chassell trails, I started to limp.
They think I sprained my leg.
Yes, some puppys do like living on the edge.
Why is this such a good spot to nap as Sandy prepares dinner? Hey!
You stepped on my tail.

Hancock waterfront music

Tonight was music on Hancock's waterfront called "Canal Rocks".  Tonight was Uncle Pete's BBQ Blues Band.
There were lots of friendly people here tonight we'd not met before.

Wally found another pup who was friendly.

We wrestled some. We wanted to continue but our
lame people didn't let us.

Hey!  That does smell good.

I don't care about no snacks, we're tussling here!

We had so much fun together.

It was a wonderful night to be out and on the water.

We even made LOTS of new friends.

Oh ya, I like you too.

Hey!  Who are you?

I heard they are here visiting me from Singapore.

I think we were at the Porvoo park but I can't read anyway.

It was getting late and I was still meeting more people

We were on our best behavior. Kids were dancing!

Oh, here is another friendly fellow to throw a stick for me.

Oh ya, I'll stroll around with you.

I had to on my best behavior, because they were leading me.
Doing that was sure hard! I'm just a puppy you know.
