Lake Ste Kathryn clearing, day 2

Here's the first evening, and then Saturday of our vacation adventure at Lake Ste Kathryn.
Hmmm grilling fresh white fish from Peterson's fish market.
The next day, I went for a dip at the swimming area that was nearby.
Where are the kids?  I love them!

Charlene had her canoe at the boat launch, near our camp site.
Late in the day, Dean and Bubba showed up!
We love them. Dean says I'm the good dog.
I'd go home with him any time...although he does have cats,
which I find scary.

We then went around 1/2 of the Deer Marsh Trail with Dean.

Charlene had scoped the trail in the morning and
found a few down trees.

We cleared this last week, but had to scoot it over a bit.

Onward, to the narrow spots we thought may cause Dean some grief.

Here's where the side hill starts....tricky!

Made it down to the overlook of the East Branch headwaters.

Dean's "Beast" can maneuver over rough terrain, hills, descents.
Trying his mettle on the steps.

Good brakes + excellent traction = no problem!

The line up....

Made it! No problem for The Beast.

Back in the early 90's, the puncheon bridges were
installed to ADA standards. Smooth sailing!
At the kiosk at the north end. We met Char and Bubba, who shuttled
the dog truck here to pick us up. Dean rode the east part
of the trail on his own, as he rode it before and knew he
could clear all the obstacles, and Char found no new down trees there.
We all awaited Dean's return at camp.
What a wonderful day we had with them!
