Lake Ste Kathryn claering, day 1

The pack has a nice 11 day vacation! To start it off, we headed down to Lake Ste Kathryn to do more camp site clearing.
Feeling more like fall all the time.  We love these cool temps!

Only camp host Cheryl and her daughter,
plus Larry and Dianne, were in camp. Quiet!

Hey! Who are you? Charlene and Hendrix set up camp too.

Ya Cheryl,  this place is going to the dogs.  We love her!

Later, Sandy spied a huge wasp nest.

Poor buggers don't know what's in store....
Arly and his can of "whoop-ass"!
Whoop-hornet doesn't sound as good.
Arly thought a little science lesson was in order.
(This was hours later.)

We cut the nest down and left it on a rock in the camp site,
in case any kids want to check it out.
Wally kept the area free of squirrels and chipmunks
while brush was removed.
August is always prime fungus spotting time.
This ring was near the entrance to the camp ground.
Must go around an old stump?
Charlene! Let's go do something fun.
Next: Check out day two!
