Camera back!

  We got our camera back so here is the first few days of vacation photos taken during our 6 day trip to Ely, MN to see family there.  This post is the trip up and 1st day there.  Special thanks goes to the Black Cat Coffeehouse in Ashland WI who mailed our camera back.  Most trips through there, this is where we stop for a wonderful treat or meal.

We stopped near the North Country Trail in WI and camped.

And hiked, of course.

We hiked here earlier this summer. It's a nice stretch of well-kept trail.

Nice little camp site. This is where we turned back.

Back at camp. It was a nice cool evening. They did some bird watching.
I looked for chipmunks.

After a stop in Superior WI we headed north to Ely.

We took a break at the Laurentian Divide rest stop to get out for a hike and
met this friendly biker.
He scratched me and he drove a bread box Honda, like ours.

I see this is going to be an adventure-filled week.

Oh finally! The kids are here.

Sarah and Jason check out their new home-away-from-home.

Today was Grampa's birthday. I can't read but they said the candles
here an 8, and a 3. Jason is ready to dig in!

Oh ya, he's my best buddy.

I love Daniel too.

And Sarah. We all had so much fun together!
