The Bridges and Skiing of Swedetown Gorge (no movie!)

My pack wanted to check the bridges in the gorge out for high water damage. Frankly I'm glad to get out and run, because we just don't do much around here!!

This is Sisu bridge.

We spied some damage here.

Up stream, we checked out the middle bridge.

The cribbing Mark Roberts and his crew added last fall,
 seems OK for now.

We'll be replacing this one in the fall.

Ya, my favorite creek is up.

What we call the National Guard bridge seems fine.
This one we worry the least over.

Still some tracks left.
All-paw drive don't need no stink'n tracks!

Now at the Dam. (long ago washed out)

Cribbing here seemed OK.

Dam meadow bridges seemed OK as well..

What happen to the snow mushrooms??

We had such a nice spring ski together.

Arly closed the trail gates this week.  We can still romp here, can't we?  I think so!

My buddy Terry sent us this photo.  He's on the Sikuliaq in Lake Michigan this week.
Terry scratches my ears when he's here to visit.  I love that!

Pilgrim River ski in 50 degrees!

Ya! I got my pack out this afternoon and we ventured to my favorite Nara trails and Pilgrim river.

I smelled a mouse!  I caught one once.

We looked down the valley towards the Pilgrim river.
Lets go this way!

Ya, its warm out but I still love these spring romps.

Arly took his skis off so get up a melted hill,
but he needed them again. 

We had such a nice ski in warm spring weather!

  Ya we had such a nice romp with them and all the friendly trail mutts.

Oh ya, Dale will scratch me some and I'll tussle
with Bella at the same time!

This gets me cranked up,  more people have arrived!

It was so warm out, I had to roll in the snow.

We had such a nice time.  I'm a social dog ya know.

Not to eat but to say "this area is ours!"..

BIG Sping snow fell here.

Ya, snow dogs do love a spring snow storm and 15" fell here on Thursday and Friday. Arly had to be out for many hours knocking it down but on Saturday afternoon we all got for a quick run around the trails in the gorge.  I let him add a few photos he took as he groomed

It was so warm out, I had to cool off in my favorite Swedetown creek!

 

With this warm weather, the creeks have been coming up.

But the wind had made a mess of things..

It was so pretty when he was done but this likely be
the last time he can groom..  Spring is here!
