Uller Trail adventure on Saturday

On Saturday morning we headed to Arly and Sandy's favorite ski adventure trail when they lived here some 20 years ago...the Uller Trail, near Iron Belt WI.
Since the trail had been groomed, the skin skis were used today.
This is the Hoyt Rd. trail head.

Let's go!

Lotsa alder in the trail, at the Alder Creek bridge.

The climb out of the river valley.

The 2-leggeds said the pod holes on the sides made for
"interesting" skiing at times.

We skied to this unused shelter.

We coulda spent the night as far as the 4-leggeds were concerned!

We did have a nice ski today...although we didn't
dare venture over the hills past this point due to the
extremely uneven trail surface, with tracks set up and
down hills where there should have been none.
Sure was nice to see the sun anyway.
Later we enjoyed an excellent sandwich at
 Bake Superior Bread.
If you love artesian breads and awesome baked goodies,
be sure to stop there next time you're Ironwood.
You won't be disappointed!
