2020 winter mini vacation... first up - Snow Cat Clowder!

We left home on Thursday, and headed to Ironwood MI for the 2020 Snow Cat Clowder festival.  We had many more photos but the old camera was dropped into the snow on Friday and could not be found. Arly doesn't think much of phone cameras but that how these were taken.....
Next post will be the ski we did down the Uller trail near Iron belt WI on Saturday afternoon.
Friday morning, all the 'cats met at Copper Peak.

The Pontoon Princess was interviewed by the local TV reporter!

The 'cats headed up to the top of Copper Peak.

What a site for a break at the Copper Peak ski flying hill.

Ya it's quite a view from up here.  I thought Michigan was flat?

Here comes the '48 Tucker, with skis on the front.
No kidding, its a 1948 model!

Now we head to the big lake.

Ya us mutts got to ride in a 'cat!  There are kids in here with us.
That's what we like!
Once we made it to the lake shore, a bon fire was promptly lit.
Soon, everyone was enjoying a festive meal.

With almost no wind and temps at 30, it couldn't
have been a nicer day for a cookout.

Lucky for me, my pack had Abigail keeping me busy.

I didn't mind playing dress-up.

Ya I love little girls.

Ya, I found lotsa treats and better yet, friendly people.

And lots and lots of friendly cat owners!

My pack brought the Big Boss and had some
Cold Iron craft beer in it.

Then it was time to head back.
Here, the snow cats are on Black River road.

On Saturday, we stopped by for more Clouder fun at
Big Powderhorn Mt.

Lotsa folks stopped by to have a closer look at classic snow cats.

This is a kit offered one.

We were so glad to come to the Cat Clouder...see ya next year!
