Monk's Trail hike and Brockway Mountain visit

This all happened on Saturday when we headed up the Keweenaw for a little hike...
We needed to get something at Arly's shop in Mohawk and
thought we'd just head a bit further up and hike at the Monk's trail,
which is just up the hill from Eagle Harbor.

The 2 legged members brought BC skis but they weren't needed.

It sure is a nice trail.

We headed to the gorge.

The little waterfall.

Even the sun came out today!

There were lotsa deer tracks to sniff.
The pack made us stay close.

The trout pond.

They made me go waaaaaay back, then jump on this bench.
It was scary!

When we were here last winter,
the snow was so deep it covered these signs!

We spied turkeys along the road!
This was on Brockway Mountain Drive, which does not get
plowed over the winter.

Our buddy Mark brought a house up here and plans to be renting it soon.

What an awesome vacation spot!

Mark is getting this set up to house groups large or small. Quite a place.

This is near the Brockway nose.
Maybe Arly will get to run a Bully (sled trail grooming)
 up here this winter.
