Easter vaction adventures.

On Friday morning, we packed the mutt truck and headed west to Minnesota.  We were going to Ely for Easter.  This is where Sandy folks live and we always have fun there!  This post will be of the trip up and the 1st day there.
We stopped in Brule WI at the "After Hours Trails" for a little hike.

This is in their new chalet.  We had hoped to ski,
but thought there wasn't much fresh snow here.

That's OK, because we headed for the snowshoe trails!

Seems they had marked with with a little paint.

They were faintly marked but other people had snowshoed them,
so we didn't get lost

We did a nice loop here that we'd not done before.

On the way back, we crossed a little creek and thought the mutts
should get a drink.
Do you suppose that a pup might be afraid of a creek,
and not get a drink?

No way!  A puppy could drown!

On Saturday, we were going to hike at Hidden Valley in town but they
were still open for skiing.
We couldn't ski there since they are NOT trail mutt friendly.
So we came here, to the Bass Lake Trail, found up the Echo Trail.

Wally, this is this trail has a couple loops.
Today we'll go around Dry Lake.

We've romped here a few times before but never with so much snow!

This creek crossing seems to be missing a bridge.
Good thing it was still froze!

OK, now that we went around Dry Lake let's go see the falls.

Wally, you can get a drink here.
We already from yesterday that it's scary for a puppy...

Hey! There are fun obstacles here.

We had such a nice hike here.

We relax at Gramma and Grampa's. I got lotsa ear scratching!

Hey! I would like some ear scratching too!

Wally, you will have to be on your best behavior and
we know how hard that it is for you!

Ya, we should visit here more often.
