Fresh snow adventures!

 With this luxurious new snow, we headed down to check it out near Perrault Lake which we expected would have more than us here in town.

The 2 legged members brought their small showshoes with them.
They made us wait in the car while they put them on.
Doing that was hard!

We finally get a going!

Even the old dog thought she was fast today.

Running in fresh snow does that.

Darn good snow depth for November 10th!

Hey! I smelled something down here.

Tea time!

OK let's get back a-going.
The reason we don't see the pup much is because he's running
out in the woods somewhere.

We followed many logging trails.
Seems like they'd make some perfect ski trails.

Whee! We love the winter weather.

C'mon Gromit! More adventure awaits up here.

We led the way all day.

There was about a foot of snow out here, with some deeper pockets.

Soon we can get the skis out!

Ya, head this way.

Let's check this trail out.

This was on the south side of a ridge and the snow got deep!
You can see by the snow on the branches that this was
behind a hill and blocked from last night's strong winds.

Hey! I wonder how deep the snow is here.

Oh, it's pretty deep!

We raced along the ridge top.

The 2-leggeds tracked our progress.

Wally, we'd better lead them back soon.

We kinda hated to leave this pretty spot.
Although, we were getting very hungry!

What a grand day for trail mutts to be out.
