More Bob Lake camp site clearing!

We took yet another long weekend to head out to camp on work on brushing. Friday evening it was supposed to rain, but since the forecast changed for the better, we headed for Bob Lake!
Ya it was a beautiful evening.
We had the best camp neighbors!  We did like these two.
Oh ya Emory, you can scratch us both.
Jay was a big dog fan too.
Emory and Vera spent lots of time visiting with us...
and most everyone else  at camp!

Beautiful Saturday morning.

"Wow, that's a big orange!" Vera hadn't tried grape fruit before.

Oh you know I like little girls.

Ya mother Carrie is a dog fan too.

They got all gussied up to go to a wedding.  Even high heels!

Arly cut down the leaner that was over the path to the outhouse.
Slash dump! We made at least 15 trips there.

We had very friendly neighbors at site 1 too. All of us visited.
Oh, and that's not Wally, that's her dog, Minnie!

We made many visits to the Massie's camp site.

Ya they all are so friendly.

We hope to camp near you again one day!
Getting done here, on Sunday we move to Lake Ste Katheryn.

Bob Lake camp return days II

Bob Lake camp return adventures....  We almost got the all camp sites cleared.
Other than Saturday, we had beautiful mornings.

Twice, we were gently woken by trumpeter swans.

Certain young dogs were very nervous of the big white birds.

They sadly did not seem to have any cygnets tagging along.

More friendly neighbors.

They swam quite close to our camp.  They are quite noisy!

Neighbor Zach from Missouri stopped by just to see us.

Yet another load of brush headed to the dump.

Yes we're seeing the first signs of fall.

After our camp neighbors from Ontonagon rolled out,
these friendly folks rolled in from Lancing MI.

Yet another peaceful evening in camp.

I wonder who else we'll meet?

Then a friendly vet from down state MI strode past!

Ya, I smiled pretty at her.

Fishermen had nice weather to try their luck.

Mike and his boys from the Chicago burbs were
enjoying lots of R&R here.

All in all, it was a very busy, action packed weekend
and I couldn't stay awake any longer.

Bob Lake camp return

On Friday, we once again loaded up the dog truck to do a return trip to Bob Lake campground.  We have more camp sites to clear here.
We found many friendly campers right away upon arriving!

Our camp neighbors had parked their boats on our site's shore.

Oh ya you can pet me more. Its fine you parked your boats here

We grilled white fish for supper that night.

I'll guard it!

I had to visit the neighbors many times.
They were from Ontonagon and so friendly!

Such a pleasant evening at camp.

MMM, locally caught fish, and locally grown veggies.

Arly! Aren't you going to share some?

Finally, some tasty fish skin on the way.

OK, I can relax for a couple minutes anyway.

Then I had to say hi to the neighbors again.

It rained overnight, and the next morning.
Once it stopped, these neighbors headed for home. Don't go yet!

Don't you know, we could have more fun!

Maybe we'll camp near you at Bob Lake again some day.

The pack finally got back to cutting and hauling brush.

We had such a nice day here.
