Season opener at Bob Lake. Hike!

Camping and hikes at Bob Lake day II.
It was another gorgeous morning in the UP.

We smelled bacon!  This is the real stuff, made by Nueskes.

Then we hear loud honking and some BIG birds
landed on Bob Lake.  They were swans.

It was in the 30's last night, but its warming up fast.
The furnace quit last night, but we didn't care

It was quite a shock to still see the firewood,
we'd left here in November.

Ya, I do smell pancakes and bacon.  That's camp food!

Then Parker came by to say hi!
We do like romping through the woods together..

After all that socialization with her, we got out for a hike.

This is the trail we cleared last summer.
Looks like we'll need to do more on it soon.

A few larger trees fell this winter.  Nothing we can't handle!

We stop to view the little pond.

Some work yes, but we enjoy it.
Then we'll be camping here again.

Now are on our way to the North Country trail and we find yet
more water to dip in.  By the way, Kelpies are NOT water dogs.

Ya, this is hiking in the spring with water remaining.

We found many trees across this section.
I wonder who will take care of them?

We do like a cool dip, now and then.
It hit about 65 today, perfect for a long hike.

More trees seen across the trail.

We didn't find a single tick on us today. I wonder why?

Is this a water log balancing act? ☺
My lame pack forgot there hiking poles today!
Not all the trees across the trail will be seen here.

You don't need you to bring any drinking water for us.

We stop for a break during our 11 mile hike and older dogs doz off.

Back at camp, we find puppies falling asleep to.
He may have went 20 miles day.

Everyone gets tired after having there kibble.

The pack makes there own dinner, as the sun starts to get lower.

I smell smoked fish.
Then we hear noise at the nearby boat launch.

We go to see that's there.  Oh, its friendly fisherman!

They were out fishing and caught some big ones.
Hey!  I'm still right here!

Ya, you can touch us some.

We don't get much rubbing and touching ya know.

Maybe will see you again here?  I hope so!
