Weekend ski adventures!

Snow kept falling here over the weekend which prompted us to do two ski adventures.

On Saturday we went to Boundary Road to ski there.

The Pilgrim River looks good.

The snowman that was made a month ago, still lives here.

Snow depth is pretty good here.

Now we get a going on the single track width portion.

Just as we popped back on the road,
we heard this fellow a knocking

Let's get a going!

Snow shoers had groomed for us.

The 2-leggeds said skiing was excellent!

Kelpies can grab a drink, as they zoom past.

OK, we're back to the road and truck.

After the ski, Sandy stretches and we helped!

Sunday morning we headed to Maasto for another romp.

We stop on the pedestrian bridge.

Oh, it is pretty out here.

Here comes another skier. Oh it's Shelley!

Yet another skier glides past.

Shelly had some tasty treats, which prompted
us to be the most polite dogs anywhere.

I had so much fun tussling here with my new pal Willy!

Wolfe says he moved here this past year.

What a grand day for a romp in the woods.

Snow and friendly neighbor kids.

Great news: We got more snow AND we've been out seeing the friendly neighborhood kids.

Oh ya, I love our Tech cross country running girls!

I'd run along with you anytime.

Finally we got more snow so we all got out to help move it.

Ya Arly you be sure to clear a path to the compost.

The snow was very light and fluffy.

Then all the Erickson's came out just to see us!

Wally got in on the fun when he wasn't hunting vermin.

I made sure to stay close so everyone could touch me.

I took a break from kid time and rolled in the snow.

Dogs-n-kids, they just go together.

They were admiring my wooly coat.

Oh ya, I like that butt rubbing.

Everyone was eating snow this morning.

Maija came out! I'm so glad we have such good neighbors.

Will we see you again tomorrow?

Saturday's snow hikes

On Saturday, with a real lack of good snow for skiing, the pack got out for a couple hikes instead. With the recent weeks of day-time above freezing and night-time below freezing temps, the base is quite crusty-hard so walking is pretty good but skiing rather poor.

In the morning we headed for Boundary Rd.
to hike the Pilgrim Watershed trail.

Tea time!  Look up: See how snow broke that tree over long ago?

Snow is reasonable here but skiing on ice is sketchy.

Almost to the picnic table.

And we roll and roll again.  Snow is so good for that!

Then I heard someone skiing up to us.

You know I like kids.

They know how to get me cranked up.

Ya Gunnar we can tussle!

I hope we see you again soon.

In the afternoon, we went to the Nara park so Gromit could get out.

I like to be here so kids will run their fingers through my coat.

Oh ya, I like adults too!

Ya I'll rub up on you.

Here comes Gromit.

I made all the social rounds today.

Arly will sneak one photo in of Gary's new
drill press at the Hancock school metal shop.
