Bob Lake and Beaver Lodge Trail inspection hike.

Sunday afternoon was sunny and calm so after house project chores were done, we headed west to Bob Lake to hike and check the Beaver Lodge trail out.  We clear this short but nice trail, each summer.

The weather was grand!

This is the short trail right by the lake.  It was pretty good.

These two had been on shore.

No one camping here today.

Didn't see the resident trumpeter swans either.

Now back on the Beaver Lodge Trail.

Oh dear, we found dead-falls right off.

We spied turtles sunning themselves here.

We also hiked to and a bit down the NCT and back.

Lots and lots of trees fallen across this trail.

We spied a new beaver pond.

Wonder if anyone will get out here and clear this mess?

What a nice hike.
Maybe we can come back over the week end to camp?

Saturday things

On Friday, our favorite UPS driver Martin stop by just to see me!  And leave a few packages.  We'd not seen him in a long, long time.   Oh we do miss seeing him.

Best driver ever AND he gives us treats!

Then on Saturday, we seen little faces peering in the east window.

It's our favorite kids who live next door!

You kids can stop by and see us, anytime.
Everyone here has now been vaccinated.

On Saturday evening, Larry came by!

He ate dinner with us.  Hope we see you again soon!

Weather and kids!

Weather has fluctuated lots this week but at least we got to see the neighborhood kids!

Ya, we seen more snow this week, snow dogs do appreciate that.

One day Nate and the kids came by!

They live next door, and we love them.

Then Miaja came home!   Did you bring something for me?

Little Naomi likes dogs and rocks.

Ya, you kids CAN rub my coat.

Eli gives me hugs.

You can and should scratch me some.

Hope we see you kids out again soon!

See-saw spring with the neighbor kids and snow!

Sunday was warm, sunny and calm but overnight the weather took a big swing and turned cold, snowy, and blustery. We thought both days were great!

I love our neighbor kids! So I smile at Nancy.

Gee, I'm smiling as pretty as I can
but all it does is make her nervous.

We're so glad Maija stopped by to see us.

Ya, I love some kid time.

You can put your fingers in my mouth any time.

I can hang here with Eli.

The whole family came over to see me!
Well except for Nate.

Little Naomi fell off the steps so I had to go console her.

Ya, snow today!  Camper isn't going anywhere.

I told those guys not to put the snow scoops away yet!

We all got out got a nice little walk today.
Snow makes older dogs giddy.

More Pilgrim Watershed Trail water moving and yard work

Saturday was a nice, dry, sunny, calm day, perfect to head out to the Pilgrim Watershed Trail to divert more water.....and also start on some yard work at home.

Arly opened this yesterday but
we just cleaned up the area a bit more.

Great day for a hike!

We helped get the water moving
off the hiking trail in many spots.

Someone's been driving out here while it's still muddy.

Later, at home we helped Sandy do some yard work.

The flowers in the lawn are still blooming.

So I'll lay on them.  I used to run 30 miles in a day.
I don't do that any more. I'm retired!

Then the neighbor kids came by to play in the spring water.

Ya, me and kids, that's the best mix.
We're so lucky to have the best neighbors ever!

Friday Boundary Road culvert adventure

While hiking the Pilgrim Watershed Trail yesterday, we found a plugged culvert. So today me and Arly went back to get it opened up.

We found the gate inappropriately locked yet again.

Arly had it cleaned out in no time.
Then some hikers came along!

Things just went crazy!

Ya, I will catch you!  I love this run and chase game.

We are so glad Brian and Holly came out to join us.
