Snow-cats at Powderhorn and WinMan romp

We had such a grand day out on Friday! Saturday was adventure filled, and finally above zero.
Wally fully appreciates business trips like these.

In the morning, we stopped by at Big Powderhorn Mt.
to bid our new sno-cat friends farewell.

Oh good! There's kids here.
This fellow is thinking about getting his own sno-cat.

Oh ya, we hope to see you next year!

Then we headed south to Winchester WI to ski the WinMan trails.

Yes the chalet is beautiful, and better yet, mutt-friendly!
This kitchen is nicer than our home one.

Oh, we met many friendly people here.

When are we gonna go ski?

Finally! The 2-leggeds used their skin-skis, with the temps
going from sub-zero to 30 and transforming the snow.

All-paw drive worked fine, as usual.

I can't read but I do smell something interesting...

Finally, we get-a-going.

Hey, these trails are great!
Robert does a bang-up job grooming here.

This spot is flat but mostly the trails traverse little rolling hills.

We did the 10K loop.
They also have fat bike and snow shoe trails here.

Back at the chalet, we met another friendly 4-legged.

He christened that ski bag. For once it wasn't Wally whizzing!

We went in for some post-ski socialization.

Oh hey! We could tussle here!

Older dogs on the other hand, are more content with some rubbing.

On the drive home, we stopped in at Twin Lakes
State Park to see the ski trail and snow depth.

Amazingly enough, the trail was groomed.
We couldn't stay awake on the drive home.
It was a busy, adventure-filled weekend.
