Excellent BC romp adventure at Swedetown gorge!

Oh ya. Friday was kinda breezy so the pack headed to Hancock's "sledding hill" trail head to do a back country romp by Swedetown Creek. It's never breezy in the gorge, ya know.
Once we got to Sisu Bridge, we stopped to admire
the apples over the creek.

Up creek, to the slate trail we go.

Gee the snow is deep along the creek.

The ice is pretty thick, but puppies must be cautious.

We all admired the view of the cascade.

We inspected this handiwork of a pileated woodpecker.

It warmed up yesterday, then was cold and windy
last night so the snow was nicely set up.

Even for a puppy with high psi paws it was good going.

And of course no problem for the lower psi old girl.

We had a nice glide down the Iron Ring trail.
On the Sisu bridge, snow depth is impressive!

In a couple months this place will be roaring with high water.
I'll stay away from that!
To end our romp,
we bushwacked over to the top of the sledding hill.
Whee!  On Saturday we'll be skiing the "highland" trails...
