Lake Ste Kathryn camp Day II

Sunday was yet another beautiful spring day at Lake Ste Kathryn camp.

Not luxury....necessity!

We paid a short visit next door again.

Where is Yogi?

Then a bit more trail work was done.

Many trees in this area were damaged by beaver
(see the large chips) but also porcupines (see tree in back).

Later, some friendly folks who are also at camp
hiked by just to see me!

These spruce are a mess to clear up.
This is the "after" photo.

This is the "before" photo.

All better!

Yes there are no lack of dead spruce and balsam.

Ya Arly, clean up that muck to open this culvert back up.

Have I mentioned how refreshing Deer Marsh is?

I recommend a dip any time!

Later, we headed a mile south of camp to check
out an old cabin all the locals talk about.

The storage shelter has collapsed in on the boat.

Poor old cabin needs lots of love.

They do have a pretty shore line. Very private.

Ya it's mutt approved.

Cute little out house. Yes this was a rustic vacation property.

We didn't try the pump.

As they were packing, I was sure to snooze
where I wouldn't be left behind.
I hope we can come back again later this summer!
