Checking trails Sunday afternoon.

On a wonderfully cool Sunday afternoon, we headed to the O Kun de Kun trail because our buddy Dean had said some areas of the trail were turning to muck.

This first section of trail had been refurbished a
few years ago to be ADA accessible.

The rest of the trail to the falls was improved by a contractor
last year. Oh gee here's what Dean was talking about.

Seems like a few culverts should have been used.

We found lots of wet and muddy spots on it.

Gravel seemed to be rather shallow, especially as
we got closer to the falls.

More mud and poor drainage.

This bump-up shouldn't be here.

Muddy sections were off and on. Some areas were nicely
crowned, firm, dry, smooth. Other areas were off
camber, or rough and bumpy, or had roots sticking up
through the thin layer of surface gravel.

We finally made it to the Baltimore river.

Looks like the NCT club should be clearing brush here.

Now on our way back, we spied the gravel used to cover the trail.

On the way home, we stopped in to Courtney Lake to
romp around the Circle of Life trail.

Water's up on Six Mile Lake. The floating board
walk was up high!

I checked to see if any other trail mutts have
been here recently.

Arly will need to trim these sometime soon.

We had such a nice romp here today!
To celebrate, I went for a dip at the swimming beach.
