Lake snow!

Lake snow! Perreault Lake, that is.  Sandy got off rather early today so thought we get in the first ski of the year!
Snow is not too deep yet but still great for romping.

Soon those tips won't be showing!

The 2-leggeds thought the breeze from the west was chilly
when we started.

Trail mutts aren't bothered by a little breeze.

Ya!

Gromit! I think I smell some deer.

Oh it does not get much prettier.

Ooh, wind is swinging around, wonder what
those clouds have in store for us?
That's moisture off the BIG lake!

They enjoyed the view from the foot bridge for a moment.
I had some paw maintenance to tend to.
Then we skied up to a logging grade.
We circled the rest of the lake on various grades.
On the way home, it was snowing so hard, the visibility was about zero!
Once we got down the hill back to Houghton it wasn't snowing much.
Gotta love lake effect!
