On Saturday, we headed west to O Kun-De-Kun Falls.
The 2-leggeds used their skis, since we had
some fresh snow over the crust. |
Let's go! |
It was easy going. Very hard and crusty. |
We did notice, the snow depth was pretty low here,
compared to at home. |
At least it's not mud season yet! |
We spied many woodpecker carvings in this old cedar. |
The water's up already, from the rain and
warm weather we had last week. |
OK, we'll pose with you as long as we stay away from the torrent! |
Did you know how good it feels to roll on the hard crust? |
We recommend it! Even older mutts like to have them. |
Ya, this is the prettiest falls around. |
Still good snow on the bridge. |
The water is brown from the clay, |
Snow shoers had packed the surface nice and flat. |
Oh dear...many, many dying spruce have been pulled
down over the trail this winter. |
The climb/descent across the river was OK to walk,
not so much to ski. |
We only made it a short way before having to turn back from
down trees across the trail. Will someone clear them this spring? |
Even so, we had such a nice romp here today! |
Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.
