Beaver Lodge Trail BC ski!

On Saturday, we loaded up the dog truck and headed to FH-16 with the temps predicted to be a balmy 50 today.  We had an excellent ski adventure to the Beaver Lodge Trail near Bob Lake, via the NCT.
No one had romped here, maybe all winter.

We cleared this trail a few years ago. It's really pretty!

The deep snow was too hard of going for Gromit,
so the old girl stayed back in the truck.

We spied a couple big trees cut down by beavers,
plus this one that they started on.

Hunting is good in the spring!

Made it to the side trail junction.

It was really warming up.

No lounging on the bench today!

Cross the foot bridge we go.

This bridge had an impressive amount of snow melt,
thanks to its south facing orientation.

Hey! I found a bare patch to investigate.

OK, let's head over towards Bob Lake.

The 2-leggeds waxed up the fish scales again.
Snow is sticky at 50!
This is the trail we keep cleared for the FS each summer.

Ya there's excellent depth yet out here.

We had such a nice romp today...
but now I'm ready to get in the truck and nap!
