Trail work and camping weekend fun at Bob Lake!

On Friday evening we seen the camper being packed and were giddy to hear that we were headed to Bob Lake campground! We were there once this spring but this was our first camp trip there this summer.

This is a good sign!

Then Daisy and Jan stopped by!   We love them.

It was busy here and we were lucky to get the last lake side site.

Even Kelpies think they're water dogs.

At dusk, some kayakers paddled by.

The next morning we met the
friendly neighbors and they even had dogs!

We tussled some.

We're so glad you guys came up to camp here.

Huummmmm Neuske's bacon and coffee.
It's not a camp breakfast without them!

Can you see me up there??  This is weedy!

I don't like the noise, but do like it cleared.

All better.

We spied this fellow in the pond.  It's a trumpeter.
Sadly, it didn't seem to have a mate.

I took a nice, cooling dip here.

At the end of the day, I was tired and waited to get back in.

The Beaver Lodge trail is now officially cleared.

Back in camp, I met more campers.

They were from Florida and so friendly.

It was perfect weather for camping and we relaxed.

I was tired and needed a nap.

Steak over the open fire, of course.

Even the older mutts can rub in the grass.

The next day we headed to Courtney Lake, to
do a little work on the Circle of Life trail.

And cleared all the maple shoots along here.

Friendly hikers stopped by. They are the locally "famous",
the "Six Mile Late retirees". They hike the trail daily!

When will we be back for another fun
Ottawa National Forest adventure?
