Weekend trail clearing fun!

Over the holiday weekend we had hoped to be out camping but those plans cooled with overly warm temps predicted.  So in the morning me and my packed worked to clear the Pilgrim River Watershed trails.  We had to leave Gromit home to give her a rest, because of her arthritis.

On Saturday morning, we started to knock some weeds down.

Ya, much of the trail looked like this.

 

Little tree shoots and ferns, need to come down.

Break time and I'm already hot.

On Sunday morning, I run out with them.

Zoom! We head to the single track.

Ya, it's gotten grassy out here.

All better!

Now we head down the single track.

Ferns -n- shoots were whacked down.

Break time for the 2 legged members, but Kelpies never quit hunting.

The only couple we seen over the weekend out here. 
They were very friendly. They had a mutt too!

When we got back to to truck, these butterflies were all over it.
