This is the the last 2 days at our favorite campground.
Sunday morning we got the weed whackers out and cleared a couple ferny sections. After a relaxing lunch break back at our cool, breezy camp site, we head back out to clear back some down trees for a couple hours. Then the heat made us return to camp to relax.
| It was a busy morning and I couldn't stay awake by the afternoon. |
Items found out there. A tree fell on that sign last year and broke the frame. |
Nice to just relax. The two legged members did cut some dead trees down (and into fire wood) in camp. |
| Then we went to Cheryl's site, who's the camp host. |
She asked if we may be able to cut back some brush at her site, to restore the view of the lake. |
| Of course!, we said. And we went to work. |
| She's the best campground host ever. |
| We cut all the branches that obscured her view of the lake. |
| Now pushing her kayak back. |
| I'll supervise. |
| At the boat launch, what are these holes? |
| Turtle nests! |
| Hunting all day takes a toll on busy dogs. |
We love camping Lake Ste Kathryn! Our site was cool, breezy, and mostly bug-free. |
Monday morning, it's pancakes for breakfast! Oh and of course, Neuske's bacon. |
| Then we headed out to the trail and got more work done. |
| More brushing and weed whacking. |
| We got lots of weeds knocked down here. |
Ya, I'm ready to get back in the truck. It's been such a fun weekend! When can we come back? |
