Lake Ste Kathryn camp-n-trail clearing adventures

Late on on Friday afternoon, we headed south for another camp and trail clearing adventure at Lake Ste Kathryn and clear more of the deer Marsh trail.
1st off, we stopped by to say hi to Cheryl, the campground host.

We got a new spot here. It was great!

This is what camping trail mutts can appreciate.

It was almost a full moon tonight.

In the morning, good smells soon filled the air.

I don't know why they want to sit around drinking coffee
when we could be out on the trail!

Finally....we got busy clearing trail.
Our goal was to connect the section from near camp
to where we quit last time.
Arly trimmed up many, many overhanging limbs.

And Sandy got them dragged off, plus saplings lopped.

We spied a long-ago axed off log.

Later, camp neighbor Dianne joined the fun.
I made sure she knew I was available for snuggling.

We took a break to read about the American Bittern.

We didn't see or hear any however.
At least the view of the marsh has been restored!

Busy mutts like to take butt-rub breaks from time to time.

Finally, we all had enough. Time to head back to camp.

Gee the trail that's been cleared sure looks nice.

Hopefully, soon new markers can be installed.

Dianne we hope to see you again tomorrow!

Back at camp, we promptly got to our kibble.

The 2-leggeds got to showering.

After a long day on the trail then kibble,
trail mutts just can't stay awake any longer.

This little fellow stopped by.  What is he?

Time to relax and sip a little wine. No whining about that!

We had such a nice day here.

No wind and the moon rising, what a beautiful spot.

You know it been a long day, when puppies are looking for there bed.

Time to rest up for another fun day on the trail tomorrow.
