Short outings this and last week!

Here are some outings from this past week and a short one today, in the drizzle.

This afternoon, we headed to the Paavola wetlands to hike their trails.

 

Lets go!  We'd not been here in years. Of course, Wally never has.

Water dogs prefer anything called "swamp".

They've got "Connie tape" everywhere here.

Water dogs love docks, you know.

This is the main trail head. We parked at the "west" trail head.

Oh, we had many spots to get a drink. It is a wetland, ya know.

On Tuesday this past week, we ventured to the
 Pilgrim River preserve, just south of town.

We found lotsa nice cooling stops here.

Who are you!??! He came running up the trail behind us. 
Didn't see anyone else and he had no collar.

Although he was real friendly.

We found many trees across the trail.
