Arly's been out working on the trails again!

The mutts said we could borrow some blog space and show a few photos from Arly's work grooming snowmobile trails.  He's operating a Pisten Bully 400 for Keweenaw Trail services who does 230 miles of them.
We pull this big thing called a drag that will pack down
the snow and smooth up the trails.

Looking forward.

We push snow along in front of the blade.

Yes, we've got good snow here
So much, it's pulling the trees down.

Arly get his photo taken.

These trail bully's cost around $250,000 each
and we have 5 of them.

Yes we cross roads.  Lots of them!

It has been a snowy year so far.

This is some of the things we see every day.

Snow! And Good Shepherd. Together, they add up to weekend fun!

We've been receiving snow and have been skiing.  Plus we get to church now and then. It doesn't get any better than doing both on the same weekend!
Even old dogs feel young again when there's good snow.

Ya, we hadn't been to the Pilgrim Watershed Trail in a while.

It was so nice to get out in the sun and snow.

Deeper snow could be found, but when your paws are tiny, you sink way down.

Oh hey, I better hurry!

Even the signs have good snow today.

Winter wonderland.

We took a little break at the table.

Arly led the way on the single track.

We're so glad we don't need to dodge the brush this year.

We cross the bridge that we relocated this fall.

Ya the balsams all reminded us of Christmas.

Many little maples were pulled over from the ice and snow that had stuck to them.

Arly was prompted into doing a little trail clearing.

I'm so glad winter is here.

We made it back to the 2-track.

We never did clear brush here, and lots of saplings were pulled over.

Little feet packed the path....sort of.

Little spruce were quite snowy.

We had such a nice romp here today.

On Sunday, we got to go to church!

We love both pre- and post-church socializing.

Hey, I like spaghetti too ya know.

Ya Judy, you can touch me.

Cari, you make me grin. I would grin ear-to-ear if I could!

Ya you can rub my back, I like that.

Oh ya Anthony, I've known you pretty much all my life!

Hi Ellen, I'll lean on you so you can scratch me more.

Hey! We got to meet Dave, Susan and Spikey's friend.

Anthony I hope we see you again soon.

Heading back home from Chamberlain SD!

This is our last day in SD and trip home. Yes we did see snowy roads again.
Lynn checks Buddy when he returns from his
"significant event" at the vet's.

Still a little sleepy but seems he'll recover just fine.

We all needed a serious walk, so we went to the shore of the
Missouri River.

We went south a few miles but ran out of beach.
The river is really up!

Back at the parking lot, we bumped into friendly fishermen.
That's the I-90 bridge in the background.

They lived in Omaha NE and are here visiting family.
We liked them!

Back at the Peterson's (aka Lynn and Steve's house)
I decided to pee right here.

It was snowing out.

Some mutts are chasing, barking and growling!

Now on our way home in Wisconsin, we stopped for a walk.

This is Ship Rock park near Richfield WI.
It did snow on our way home.

Now this is snow!  At Twin Lakes, not far from home.

Ya, we like this stuff.  There was about 3 feet of lake snow here.

Home!  Less snow here but still needed to blow things out.
We had such a nice Thanksgiving, but it is nice to get back.
