October CAMBA adventures, day 2 & 3

On Monday, we were treated to another perfect cool, calm, dry day, slightly warmer though.
Hummmm, pancakes & bacon help start the day off right.

We headed over to Cable to ride the Ojibwe trail.

Hey! I spied some wild life here.  I wasn't scared.

Oh we do love this trail!

This might be our favorite here.

Back at the trail head, me and Arly found Ron's
equipment storage building.  Where is he??

After lunch we headed to Rock Lake for a short ride.

Poor little Ginzu gets left out to rust and fade...

Yum! Fresh steak from our favorite Rondeau's.

I even got some, for a change.

On Tuesday, we headed down to Namakagon Town Hall trail head.
We met some very friendly bikers on the trail.

Ahhh! I got to have a cooling stop in Patsy Lake.

We were glad the sun didn't get too hot.

Little rough and bumpy is no problem for all-paw drive!

There were more leaves turned and down here.

Hi! We met this friendly couple several times this weekend.

Our last camp meal - lunch before packing up.

I hope we can come back again this year!

Another CAMBA Camp N Ride adventure!

On Saturday October 3rd, after doing some trail work (which I love), we packed up the bread box to head to our favorite Lake Namakagon camp ground to kick off another Camp N Ride weekend!
Arly thought it was cool out this morning.
I think it was perfect!
And of course, hunting was good.

Is that for me?

You KNOW how I love bacon!

After breakfast we headed to the OO
trail head to cruise up Seeley Pass.

I love fall riding!

After lunch we had to head to Hayward,
so we swung into Fish Hatchery
park to ride some more.

Oh ya, I love to cool off in Mosquito Brook.

At camp, we got to meet trail
builder Woody and spouse Jo!

CAMBA camp-n-ride Grand Finale

After we packed up at camp, we headed north to check out the new single track at Mt. Ashwabay. We heard they were building some nice trails there. These trails are also part of the CAMBA system.
This is near the ski area, and Big Top Chataqua.

Artsy!

We met some friendly bikers here.
Lisa forgot her helmet at home

The logged over area does afford a view anyway.

Ya! Swoopy, fun trails.

Some nice bermed corners.
Despite the heat, we had a great ride!
Can't wait til the next camp-n-ride near Cable WI,
October 3 - 7!   Maybe you could join us?

CAMBA camp-n-ride, day 3

On Monday, we headed to Bodecker Road to ride up the Seeley Pass and Flow Mama trails.
Hey! Who's that?

Another bright, cool morning for a ride.

We took a break up on the High Point.

We shot down John's Chute.

Hey! I spy vermin. Hunting was good, as usual.

They took the high road, I took the low road.

The Gravity Cavity! Trail candy at its best.

After lunch at the car, we headed south.
Here's the Pothole Plunge.

It was getting warm out.

We love bermed turns!

And going downhill.

Yet another berm and switchback.

Back to the car!

Camp supper was steak n taters.
I didn't get any, again.

Although I did find a nice bone to gnaw out in the woods.
Later, they took it away from me.   Oh well.
