Day three, long weekend of trail work and camping.

We headed back to Gardner road just as the sun was coming up at Houghton.  This time we had saw heads along!  (This is the chain saw head for the whacker motor.)

Ya Sandy, let's get the gear out and get this 2 mile section done.

We get-a-going under the early morning light.

Such a pretty day. And pretty colors!

We whacked the weeds and pole sawed branches down today.

Wally is getting to be a BIG dog and listens.... sometimes.

I wonder why the adopter wasn't out here to do this?

Let's take a break!
This is the spot with many logs across the trail that we made
it to yesterday.
Now they're gone!

We're done! So lets hike out.

It's been another wonderful day on the trail.

Come on guys, let's head back in.  We're done!

We got back to camp and started a fire.
It's so relaxing here but we're so glad we got that trail done.

We ate supper and relaxed at the best camp site in the whole UP!

It's been a long and busy day in the woods and we just couldn't
stay awake any longer.
