On Saturday, we wanted to get out for a nice romp but with this heat, we needed to be sure to go where there was plenty of water for cool dips. What better place than from FH 16 to Bob Lake on the North County Trail! We were planning to go much farther west but the mosquitoes convinced us otherwise.
Hey! Let's get a going. |
Oh my, looks like Arly needs to get back here with his saw. |
We found quite a few trees across the trail today. Many more than seen here. |
Don't stop Wally! The mosquitoes will eat you. |
Oh, how good it feels to get into Bob Lake! |
The bugs weren't bad here, either. |
A friendly motorcyclist stopped by just to say hi to us. |
We'd have checked the hiker log but even pausing for this photo was too buggy. |
Looks like a bear had visited here. |
The FS built such a nice trail near Bob Lake campground. |
Wally, let's head back. We'd not been on this section in years. |
Some logging happened here recently, but it only crossed the trail. |
After we got back to the truck, we headed over to Courtney Lake for a another dip! |
And our lunch. It was buggy and hot, but we were still glad to be out. |
